On March 28, 2025, the Spirit of the great artist Ladislau Schmidt sent a group of wonderful children from the “Save the Children” Day Center in Petrila to visit the Bolii Cave.
“Taking advantage of their arrival, I held a mini-inauguration of the Zamolxes bust made by our colleague, the mining sculptor Edi Schneider,” said Mr. Imre Szuhanek, warm-hearted and always present when it comes to children.
The bust, made of limestone, was mounted by the artist in March on stone blocks recovered from the C.F.R. viaduct. The Bolii Cave. The stone blocks were part of the fortifications of the Dacian Citadel of Banita until 1866.
The interest shown by visitors to the Cave regarding the origin and creation of the bust makes us confident that Edy Schneider will become as well known and appreciated as the sculptor Ladislau Schmidt.
