Zero degree meeting in Alba Iulia 27-28 October

The seminar on Romania’s journey to include rafting in the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity took place on 27-28 October in Alba Iulia.

On 27 October 2 events took place:

  • a visit to the national museums;
  • rafting on the Mures river;

On 28 October there were very interesting lectures on the traditions and future of rafting from ancient and Roman times to the present times.

There were discussions about possible ways for other countries to get UNESCO recognition and many contacts were made.

Afterwards a visit to the beautiful historic fortress of Alba Iulia was made in this beautiful colorful autumn.

Throughout our time together, we have engaged in meaningful discussions, shared valuable information and worked to achieve our common goals.

Many thanks to the city of Alba Iulia and Petro Aqua Club, as members of IATR, for the invitation and the unforgettable experiences!

Two Presidents

Frank Thiel – President of the International Association of Plasterers and Imre Szuhanek – President of Petroaqua.
